From Recovery to Practice

"I actually thought I would end up an orthopedist. That is, until I was involved in a car accident. I had severe whiplash and cervical sprain strain. The doctors told me not to drive, workout, or go to school for three months. So I went to a chiropractor for help. He had me almost fully recovered in about one week. I only wish I had gone to him sooner."

"This experience really inspired me. It wasn't just good chiropractic care that helped. I had a chiropractor who cared. And that moved me. I wanted to help people the way I had been helped. My knowledge of exercise science was the perfect foundation for chiropractic study and actually spurred me on throughout college. Today, I still consider myself more a student than a doctor. I'm always learning new techniques and discoveries. And that's what I hope to pass onto my patients. Good health is a daily lesson - one you should never skip."

Rehabilitating the Spirit

"I know I'm here to help people. But I don't think they, I mean my patients, realize how much they help me. It's like my mutual rehabilitation. I remember one woman who was almost confined to a wheel chair because it was so painful for her to walk. The real tragedy was that she was young, in her late 20's. A spinal examination revealed how misaligned her vertebrae were. I started her adjustments immediately. Now, not only is she walking, she runs regularly. The funny thing is that she never ran before the pain began. Now she has a greater appreciation for life. I like to think that I had a little something to do with that. And that's a good feeling. A very good feeling."

A Reason to Come Back

"Results. That's why our patients come back. We're known around town for being quick and effective. Our patients talk about us - and that's a very good thing. When the kids are just as excited to come as the older adults you know you've got to be doing something right. That's why we really try to treat the person and not the symptom. It separates us from the crowd and draws us closer to you."

A Man of Science and Sensitivity

"The body is an amazing thing - and you do not have to study science to know that. However, it did give me a greater appreciation and respect for the art of healing. I mean the way the body heals itself, naturally. That's why I chose to become a doctor of chiropractic. I wanted to still respect the body's natural healing boundaries and work within them - not erase them with medication. This awe of the human body has also helped shape the way I look at and treat people. The more you understand the way the body works, the more you realize how special each individual is."

People You Remember

"It's interesting that most of our patients come to us as a last resort. Every one of them leave saying that they wished they had come to us in the beginning. I have one patient who did just that. Understand that this was a very healthy and active man of 40. He had been preparing himself to climb Mt. McKinley. When he started to experience low back pain and muscle weakness, he came to see me. After 3 months of chiropractic adjustments and stretching and strengthening exercises, his pain was gone, his muscles were stronger, and he climbed that mountain! You see, chiropractic care isn't just about relieving pain. It's about setting goals and surpassing them. I want to help as many people as possible make it to the top of their 'mountains'."

Care You'll Come Back For

"The core of good health is maintenance. Just because the pain goes away doesn't mean you should. That's why we're dedicated to teaching you how to take better care of your body. Don't wait for the worst to happen. Make the most of what you already have with frequent visits that monitor your body's aging process. That's what I do with my own doctor - doctor of chiropractic that is."
